Interns for Impact

Want to Make a Difference in Your Community?

Interns for Impact is an innovative program designed to empower the next generation of change-makers by providing meaningful work experiences that focus on social good. Recognizing that today’s interns are tomorrow’s leaders, this initiative connects motivated young individuals with organizations that are committed to making a positive difference in our community. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving opportunities, interns gain invaluable skills and insights while contributing to impactful causes.

There will be three internship cohorts throughout the year, running in the spring, summer, and fall. Interns participating in the program will work at a local nonprofit in Wilson, NC. In addition to the internship, participants will complete a service project, increasing their understanding of how their work in the community can drive meaningful change. This is a paid internship opportunity, with selected candidates receiving a starting compensation of $15 per hour.

The program will select 15 college students each year. Nonprofits that want to host an intern will also have an application process.
