Want to Make a Difference in Your Community?
Interns for Impact is an innovative program designed to empower the next generation of change-makers by providing meaningful work experiences that focus on social good. Recognizing that today’s interns are tomorrow’s leaders, this initiative connects motivated young individuals with organizations that are committed to making a positive difference in our community. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving opportunities, interns gain invaluable skills and insights while contributing to impactful causes.
Interns participating in the program will work at a local nonprofit in Wilson, NC. In addition to the internship, participants will complete a service project, increasing their understanding of how their work in the community can drive meaningful change.
Interns will come to Healthcare Foundation of Wilson to receive professional development and enrichment every Monday. Each week, on Tuesday through Friday, interns will be deployed in the community to work in a local nonprofit. This is a paid internship opportunity with selected candidates receiving a starting compensation of $15 per hour. The program will start on June 1st and end on July 31st. Matching experiences desired with nonprofit needs will be a priority.
Fifteen college students will be selected for this program each year.
Nonprofits who would like to receive an intern will have an application process as well.
