Fundraising is about more than money; it is about relationship-building and strategizing. This course addresses the most effective and successful methods of raising money. Discover ideas and activities to help you strengthen your fundraising program. Learn current trends and best practices in annual giving, retaining and upgrading current donors, prospecting new donors, engaging volunteers, and managing the fundraising process. You will be guided from “the ask” to “the acknowledgment” and will gain specific ideas to enhance your fundraising results.
The course will be facilitated by Duke Learning Innovation & Lifetime Education.

Location: Healthcare Foundation of Wilson Conference Room
Healthcare Foundation of Wilson, United Way of Wilson, and Wilson Forward are hosting the 2nd Annual Nonprofit Summit. Last year during the event, nonprofit leaders from over 30 organizations shared what their immediate needs were to help their nonprofit flourish. This year, we hope to provide a time for leaders to network and learn together. We will offer an informative learning session about the nonprofit professional as a change agent.

Space is available for our community partners to learn, network and collaborate towards projects that will improve the health of our community. We have established guidelines for the use of our office space, and will accommodate requests that reflect the availability of the facility and the staff.
A grant listserv membership will be available to local partners to find government and private grant opportunities.
Education and training will be developed for best practices of grant writing and non-profit leaderships.
