Nonprofit Technical Assistance and Mentoring Program
The Nonprofit Technical Support and Mentoring Program strengthens nonprofit organizations by providing tailored support, practical tools, and trusted guidance. The program pairs nonprofit leaders and staff with experienced mentors and subject-matter experts to address organizational challenges, build capacity, and support long-term sustainability.
Participants can qualify for customized technical assistance in key areas such as nonprofit governance, financial management, fundraising, program design, evaluation, strategic planning, and grant writing. Mentoring relationships are grounded in trust and real-world experience, ensuring support is relevant, actionable, and aligned with each organization’s mission and community context.
Through one-on-one mentoring, hands-on coaching, or session facilitation, the program empowers nonprofit leaders to strengthen internal systems, improve decision-making, and lead with confidence. By investing in people and infrastructure, the program helps nonprofits increase their effectiveness, deepen community impact, and position themselves for growth and resilience.
To fund the coaching and support, nonprofits can apply for a scholarship for up to $2500. To initiate the process, interested leaders must apply for a scholarship by completing an interest form. Awards will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, and the coaching must be within the scope offered by the consulting firm and subject to available capacity. Professionals hired for support must be selected from a Healthcare Foundation of Wilson-approved vendor list.
