Grantmaking Guidelines Icon

Grant Making Considerations

The organization must exhibit:

  • Financial Viability – The organization is financially stable, possessing a greater likelihood of long-term sustainability.
  • Sustainability – The specific program requesting funds from HFW can maintain sustainable operation beyond the scope of funding. If a project will expand service capacity, then the organization should have a clear business plan for funding ongoing operations.
  • Collaboration/Partnership – The organization is collaborating or has attempted to collaborate with local and other statewide services/agencies to strengthen the program and avoid duplication within the community.
  • Outcome Measurements – The organization currently tracks outputs and outcome goals of this program and/or others to evaluate success of program implementation.
